Requirements
Must:
- Proven experience as a lead or managing architect
- Experience designing and delivering platforms and managed services at enterprise scale, particularly in bespoke software solutions, streaming, and cloud-native solutions
- Ability to design modern data platforms, covering Data Mesh, Data Fabric, Data Lake, etc.
- Knowledge of solving enterprise data and analytics challenges using technology
- Hands-on public cloud experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
- Demonstrable experience in cloud migration projects/programmes with open-source and commercial software
- Clear communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences
- Experience in event processing and async messaging architectures
- Understanding of cloud orchestration and containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes
- Familiarity with DevOps, CI/CD, and Infrastructure-as-Code
- Knowledge of NCSC Cloud Security Principles and their practical implementations
- UK Government Security Check (SC) clearance required, or support available to apply if eligible.
Responsibilities
- Serve as part of the client leadership team as the Client CTO for assigned projects/services
- Support the Client Delivery Director and Client Account Director to ensure delivery against client deliverables and payment milestones
- Lead solution, data, cloud, service, and security architects/engineers during design and delivery projects
- Deliver design documents and other key artefacts to support governance and delivery
- Build effective working relationships with delivery team members and Aker customers
- Operate as the technical lead across multiple projects and platforms
- Mentor less-experienced client team members as needed
- Contribute to the future success of Aker by developing capabilities and supporting other functions like Sales and Product
- Embrace challenges and find innovative solutions to clients problems
