Requirements
Must:
- UK Government Security Check (SC) clearance required or the willingness to apply with at least 5 years of UK residency and work history
- At least 12 months of Central Government experience in the last 5 years strongly preferred
- Strong blend of high-level design (HLD) and low-level design (LLD) experience in Security, Data, Cloud, Service, and Solution
- Client-facing skills with the ability to simplify complex designs for customers
- Skilled in designing distributed, event-driven systems
- Experience with platform and application development
- Recent experience in designing services on AWS, Azure, GCP, or hybrid environments
- Strong knowledge of agile development and modern CD/CI approaches
- Understanding of integrating security design into solution design
- Extensive experience in delivering bespoke software solutions at enterprise scale, particularly in streaming and cloud-native environments
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills in enterprise data and analytics using technology
- Hands-on experience in Public Cloud environments (AWS/Azure/Google) including their services and DevOps-centric approaches
- Experience in sensitive data environments focused on security
Responsibilities
- Research and develop high-level and detailed solution designs
- Monitor technical deliverables against designs and manage/report design divergences
- Contribute to technical Change Requests
- Maintain and monitor solutions against Non-functional requirements, design principles, and patterns
- Support solution option analysis and provide architectural recommendations
- Maintain the AsIs design against builds identifying design branches to be included in the core Aker product set
- Capture the technology stack and map it to the architecture
- Closely collaborate with and guide the DevOps and application development teams
