Requirements
Must:
- Overall experience of 8+ years in engineering roles
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Proven hands-on experience with owning production services with significant impact on design, development, deployment, monitoring & evolution
- Advanced proficiency in modern App development frameworks and architectural choices
- Advanced understanding of cross-platform technology usage in mobile App development like React Native, Web-views, flutter etc.
- Deep understanding of app development challenges and solutions
- Expert-level knowledge of testing methodologies, tools, and best practices
- Proven track record of optimizing applications for better performance
- Strong understanding of security and accessibility standards
- Ability to perform deep research & make decisions on complex projects, toggling between independent work and collaboration
- Curiosity, with a focus on staying at the cutting-edge of technological improvements and open-source advancement
- Strong communication skills, able to explain complex technical details to stakeholders at all levels
Responsibilities
- Designing, developing, and maintaining Android applications that integrate with the platforms core services and APIs
- Working closely with designers, product managers, and other developers to define requirements, design features, and deliver a cohesive user experience
- Establishing and enforcing best practices for app testing and quality assurance
- Identifying and implementing opportunities for optimization across the technology stack, focusing on cost, efficiency, velocity & developer happiness
- Enabling impactful collaboration and cross-team projects on significant initiatives, enhancing the quality of our services, code, and architecture
- Providing thoughtful feedback, nurturing an inclusive engineering environment, and championing engineering fundamentals to uplift fellow engineers
- Exhibiting technical leadership throughout the broader organization and conveying complex technical trade-offs to non-technical stakeholders such as business owners & C-suite executives
