Requirements
Must:
We are looking for candidates with the following qualifications:
- A Master’s Degree or PhD, or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Human-Computer Interaction, Information Science, Psychology, Social Science, or a related field.
- Over 10 years of relevant experience in consumer-facing business domains.
- Expertise in quantitative research, including log analysis, internal metrics triangulation, survey design, response effects, sampling, crosstabs, and statistical concepts.
- Experience with qualitative and user-centered design methods like individual and group interviews, diary studies, direct observation, and think-aloud usability testing.
- Comfort with planning, scoping, conducting, analyzing, and communicating research.
- Experience in evaluating, negotiating, and working with external research vendors.
- Ability to describe user problems and business opportunities to various stakeholders by leveraging both quantitative and qualitative data.
- Critical thinking skills that extend beyond business requests.
- Strong storytelling and communication skills, fluently engaging with business people, product teams, designers, engineers, and other stakeholders.
- Enjoyment of collaborative work in a dynamic, data-driven, and creative environment.
Responsibilities
As a Senior UX Researcher, your role will include the following expectations:
- Conducting end-to-end research for high impact, guiding stakeholders to the best collaboration with research for their goals.
- Initiating research efforts that serve Product Vertical goals, based on a well-informed understanding of the business.
- Formulating programs of study and cumulative knowledge sharing aligned with the strategic objectives of your teams.
- Leading collaborative projects with other stakeholders.
- Evaluating the pros and cons of various research methodologies and mentoring others in the use of techniques and tools for high-quality execution.
You will also be expected to:
- Evaluate research opportunities, particularly those that are ambiguous in nature.
- Manage, challenge, and shape inbound research requests, proposing solid research projects or programs.
- Execute projects excellently while exploring alternative methods, mixed methods, and innovative approaches.
- Understand the pros and cons of both qualitative and quantitative research, applying this knowledge to direct projects toward appropriate methods.
- Possess deep expertise in a specific domain, user type, or method, becoming the go-to person on the research team for this topic.
- Ensure reliability and depth of insight through triangulating findings, methods, and theories within a project.
- Maximize the value and efficiency of research by applying secondary research and expert inspection methods.
- Be familiar with various software tools common in the field and use the right tool for the problem at hand.
- Adhere to GDPR, data compliance, and ethics in all activities.
