Requirements
Must:
- Proven experience with WordPress development and AWS hosting
- Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, Sass (Tailwind CSS, Bootstrap, etc.)
- Strong skills in PHP and SQL
- Advanced ES6+ Javascript skills, including Node JS and React
- Experience with custom WordPress theme and plugin development
- Knowledge of responsive/mobile web development
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs
- Expertise in version control, particularly Git
- Experience with Docker and containerization
- Understanding of AWS core services such as EC2, ECS/EKS, EFS, CloudFront, WAF, CloudWatch, etc.
- Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools like Terraform and CloudFormation
- Strong communication skills, including client-facing experience
- Ability to work effectively in a team and autonomously
- Attention to detail and capable of working under pressure
- Commercially aware
- Experience with continuous integration and deployment (e.g., GitHub Actions, AWS CodePipeline) is advantageous
- Familiarity with non-AWS cloud platforms, such as Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) is a plus
Responsibilities
- Key role in WordPress software support, development, and AWS hosting projects
- Conduct research and testing as required
- Attend project meetings as requested by the Delivery Manager or Senior Developer
- Record time spent on each project on a daily basis with required detail
- Remain current regarding changes in relevant technology to ensure technical knowledge is up to date
- Build and maintain customer websites and digital services using WordPress, SQL, and PHP
- Support existing solutions and help improve them through various work packages
- Ensure work on high-profile accounts is completed to the highest standards, including design patterns, web security, technical documentation, and application performance
