Requirements
Must:
- Genuine enthusiasm for using Data Science and AI to improve ad regulation in the UK
- Previous experience as a Data Scientist, or similar professional experience in data-intensive academic research or as an analyst with Python experience
- Ability to write high-quality Python code to manipulate complex datasets
- Clear communication skills with non-technical coworkers to understand challenges in regulating online advertising
- Experience with Large Language Models (LLMs) either professionally or through personal exploration
- Impact-focused mindset, prioritizing technical solutions that deliver real impact
- Curiosity and ambition, creatively solving problems while focusing on system/process improvements
Responsibilities
- Join our Data Science team to work on the Active Ad Monitoring system
- Analyze large volumes of ads captured by the Active Ad Monitoring system
- Provide intelligence that helps teams across the ASA tackle real-world issues in online advertising
- Use Python and AI models to extract meaning from text, images, and videos
- Turn unstructured data into actionable intelligence
- Help understand how AI can accelerate processes across the ASA
- Own your work end-to-end and see the direct impact of your contributions
Description
We are the UKs regulator of advertising across all media, committed to ensuring ads are legal, decent, honest, and truthful. Our Data Science team works on a world-leading Active Ad Monitoring system that uses AI to monitor online advertising proactively. This role offers an opportunity for flexible working hours with a hybrid model based in London.
