Requirements

Must:
- A qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field - Minimum of 5 years experience in a technical IT support role, ideally within an educational or similar environment - Strong technical knowledge of hardware, software, networking, and operating systems (Windows, macOS, iOS, etc.) - Experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, and cloud-based platforms such as Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace - Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently - Clear and confident communication skills, with a user-friendly approach to support - Ability to work independently and manage time effectively across multiple sites - Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft, ITIL) are desirable

Responsibilities

- Provide on-site and remote technical support to staff and students, addressing hardware, software, and network-related issues - Install, configure, and maintain IT equipment, including desktops, laptops, printers, projectors, and interactive displays - Support the deployment and updating of software across school devices and systems - Perform routine maintenance of servers, networks, and backup systems to ensure consistent availability and performance - Monitor IT systems for faults or performance issues, proactively resolving problems to minimize downtime - Assist with the setup and maintenance of user accounts, permissions, and security settings in line with school policies - Ensure compliance with data protection and security protocols, reporting any issues or breaches appropriately - Document all IT procedures, issues, and resolutions clearly for use by the wider team - Collaborate with the AIT HQ team to support the implementation of technology initiatives at the local level - Stay informed of emerging technologies and best practices relevant to education IT environments
