Requirements
Must:
We are looking for a UI/UX Lead with the following qualifications:
- 7 years in UI/UX design, including at least 2 years in a lead designer role.
- Proven portfolio showcasing design projects for web and mobile platforms.
- Strong proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and frameworks like React or Angular.
- Experience with RESTful APIs and MuleSoft integration.
- Knowledge of UX principles, accessibility standards, and responsive design.
- Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and agile methodologies.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- A Bachelors or Masters degree in design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field.
- Experience in government or citizen-facing projects.
- Understanding of API-led connectivity and MuleSoft architecture.
- Expertise in design tools (Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, etc.).
- Added advantage if you know AI-powered and emerging tools.
Responsibilities
As our UI/UX Lead, you will:
- Lead the end-to-end design process for web and mobile applications.
- Define and maintain design standards, guidelines, and best practices.
- Mentor and guide UI/UX designers within the team.
- Conduct user research, usability testing, and analyze feedback to inform design decisions.
- Develop wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups.
- Ensure designs align with business goals and user needs.
- Work closely with product managers and engineering teams to translate requirements into design solutions.
- Advocate for user-centered design principles across the organization.
- Stay updated on emerging design trends, tools, and technologies.
- Introduce innovative approaches to enhance user engagement and satisfaction.
Description
This is a contract position for a duration of 8 weeks, with the possibility of extension. You will work from our Telford, United Kingdom office twice a week, and we are looking for someone to start as soon as possible.
