Requirements
Must:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in infrastructure architecture and design
- Proven experience with server technologies (e.g., Windows Server, Linux)
- Expertise in database management systems (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL)
- Proficiency in middleware technologies (e.g., Apache, Tomcat, WebSphere)
- Strong knowledge of storage solutions and technologies (e.g., SAN, NAS, cloud storage)
- Familiarity with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V)
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS/Azure Solutions Architect, TOGAF, ITIL) are a plus
- Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP) is preferred
- Knowledge of infrastructure as code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible)
- Understanding of networking concepts and security protocols
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders to gather requirements and design infrastructure solutions
- Lead the design and architecture of scalable and reliable infrastructure systems
- Manage the implementation and integration of server and database technologies
- Monitor and optimize performance of existing infrastructure
- Develop and maintain technical documentation for infrastructure architecture
- Ensure adherence to industry standards and best practices in design
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members
- Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure-related incidents and issues
Description
We at Adroit People are currently hiring for an Infrastructure Architect to join our team in Guildford, UK. This is a hybrid role, requiring onsite presence two days a week, and will be offered on either a contract basis or as a 6-month full-time equivalent position.
