We are looking for candidates with strong experience across the stack, specifically in TypeScript, React Native, React, Node, Postgres, and GCP/Firebase. A full-stack mindset is essential; you should be comfortable working on mobile apps, web apps, backend services, and SQL databases. You need to demonstrate a proven ability to write efficient, production-ready code that is reliable, observable, and maintainable. Additionally, you should thrive in a fast-paced release environment with multiple deployments each day. We value a product-focused approach and the ability to empathize with users to guide feature development. A minimum of 5 years of software engineering experience is necessary, ideally within a fast-moving startup or product-led setting. Strong problem-solving skills, an ownership mentality, and the ability to work in GMT-friendly time zones are also required. Experience with AI-powered software engineering tools and a passion for enhancing productivity will be advantageous. While it is preferred to work from the London office three days a week, it is not mandatory.

Responsibilities
As our Tech Lead, you will lead the end-to-end development and delivery of core features across mobile, backend, and internal tools. You will shape the technical roadmap and make critical architectural decisions alongside the founders. Your responsibilities will also include owning the quality, reliability, and performance of applications in production. I expect you to mentor other engineers through code reviews, pairing, and the establishment of strong engineering practices. Additionally, you will drive AI-accelerated engineering productivity by leveraging modern tools to enhance our shipping capabilities. Being hands-on is crucial; you will be expected to ship code daily, unblock team members, and take responsibility for critical systems.

Description
In this fully remote role, you will collaborate with a growing team while taking ownership of our technology stack and guiding the engineering team through the next phase of growth. You will act as a player-coach, blending hands-on technical delivery with strategic oversight. Our mobile apps include core customer applications built with TypeScript, React Native, and Expo, while our backend leverages TypeScript, GCP/Firebase Cloud Functions, GCP Pub/Sub, Postgres, and Prisma. You will also work on customer-facing web apps and an internal ERP system. We maintain a high-velocity release culture, deploying multiple times per day to tens of thousands of users. Our offering includes a salary range of £60,100 - £70,000 per annum based on experience and location, along with an annual performance bonus of up to 15%.
