Requirements
Must:
We are looking for a Senior Full Stack or Backend Developer with extensive experience building high-traffic consumer applications. You should possess a strong understanding of RESTful API design, database optimization, and security. A proven AI-assisted development workflow is essential, and the ability to work autonomously within established technical frameworks is important. Nice to have skills include React/Next.js, Azure, Payload CMS, and microservices architecture.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will develop and maintain production-grade APIs and backend systems using Node.js. You will leverage AI coding tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude, and Cursor to speed up development. Additionally, your responsibilities will include optimizing databases, authentication, and security for scale, and collaborating with front-end engineers to integrate APIs seamlessly.
Description
This is a full-time contract position with an initial term of 3 to 6 months, and we are looking for someone to start as soon as possible. The role is based in Liverpool with a hybrid working model.
