Requirements
Must:
- I require at least 3 years of experience as a SQL Developer or in a similar data-focused role.
- I expect advanced knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server, T-SQL, indexing, and query optimisation.
- Familiarity with Azure SQL and related services such as Azure Data Factory and Synapse Analytics is a plus.
- A strong understanding of data security and governance best practices is essential.
- Experience with SSRS, Power BI, or similar tools is advantageous.
- I need someone who is comfortable working in Agile, cross-functional teams, and possesses strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate complex ideas clearly.
- Previous experience in a SaaS environment would be beneficial.
Responsibilities
- I will need you to maintain and evolve our SQL Server estate, focusing on performance tuning and optimisation.
- You will write, review, and improve complex T-SQL queries, stored procedures, and database structures.
- You will support cross-functional teams with their data requirements and troubleshoot slow-running queries to address performance bottlenecks.
- I will rely on you to respond to and resolve support tickets, ranging from basic updates to complex data merges.
- You will monitor database performance and proactively identify improvements while contributing to the development of data integrity processes and automation tools.
