Requirements
Must:
- 8+ years of experience in software engineering
- Proven track record of leading technical initiatives
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Expertise in Vue.js and modern frontend development
- Strong backend experience in Java and Spring Boot ecosystem (including Data, Security, and MVC)
- Solid understanding of RESTful API design, SQL/database design
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and AWS
- Security-first mindset; background in cybersecurity is a significant advantage
Responsibilities
- Act as the bridge between our Java/Spring backend and Vue.js frontend
- Take ownership of feature development from concept through to delivery
- Lead the design and delivery of new features
- Ensure performance, scalability, and reliability across the stack
- Translate high-level requirements into clear technical solutions
- Collaborate closely with product and engineering teams
- Mentor junior engineers and elevate the overall technical capability of the team
- Maintain architectural consistency and drive best practices across the engineering team
Description
We are a growing company based in Manchester City Centre, looking for an experienced Java engineer to join us as a Lead Full Stack Engineer. This role offers the flexibility to work remotely, with the expectation of one week per quarter in our Manchester office to collaborate with the team.
