You should bring proven leadership experience in software engineering teams, ideally within a regulated or financial context. A strong grasp of Agile methodologies, modern DevOps practices, and scalable architecture is essential. Additionally, we value a hands-on technical background with solid software development experience. Exceptional communication skills and the confidence to challenge senior stakeholders when necessary are crucial. You should also possess a passion for building inclusive, customer-focused technology solutions.
Responsibilities
As the Head of Engineering, you will take ownership of the engineering function by shaping the technical vision, leading high-performing teams, and ensuring the delivery of secure, scalable, and high-quality digital solutions. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Leading and developing a talented team of engineers with a focus on growth, inclusion, and ownership.
- Defining and delivering a forward-looking engineering roadmap aligned with business goals.
- Championing a culture of collaboration, learning, and continuous improvement.
- Overseeing the design and development of scalable and secure digital products.
- Implementing best-in-class Agile, DevOps, and software delivery practices.
- Owning the full software development lifecycle from planning to deployment.
- Partnering with Product, Operations, and Executive teams to align technical strategy with company vision.
- Translating business needs into innovative, practical engineering solutions.
- Ensuring compliance with regulatory, security, and operational standards.
- Proactively managing technical risks and driving architectural decisions.
- Staying ahead of emerging technologies and recommending tools or frameworks that improve efficiency and product quality.
- Upholding coding standards and promoting engineering best practices.
