Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent professional experience
- 10 years of hands-on technical experience
- At least 5 years in a role emphasizing software engineering fundamentals, design patterns, testing, clean code, and code review
- Production experience with both cloud environments (AWS, Azure, Oracle Cloud, or GCP) and on-premise Windows and Linux infrastructure
- Experience with enterprise virtualization platforms (VMware vSphere, Hyper-V) as part of a broader IaC strategy
- Experience overseeing platform migrations, re-architecting CI/CD systems, or driving cultural changes in delivery practices
- Expertise in GitHub and GitHub Actions
- Expertise in Terraform module authoring and associated best practices
- Strong experience with HashiCorp Vault
- Comfortable administering Linux and Windows in an automation-first context
Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end engineering delivery platform, from developer commit to production artifact across both cloud and on-premise environments
- Own the artifact repository strategy, including promotion gates, retention policies, vulnerability scanning integration, and multi-ecosystem support
- Drive Terraform as the single source of truth for all infrastructure
- Optimize established module standards, remote state management, and automated drift detection
- Standardize on Docker and Docker Compose for containerization of both local development parity and production workloads
- Build and maintain a standard, opinionated pipeline framework for the organizations polyglot estate, primarily .NET and Java
- Identify systemic delivery problems across teams and build consensus on solutions to deliver durable outcomes
- Mentor Senior Engineers and conduct technical design reviews
- Raise the organizational floor of DevOps knowledge through documentation, workshops, and deliberate pairing
