Senior Network Security Engineer

- Recent experience (within the last two years) in a Network Administrator/Engineer role working with Cisco routers and switches, with a minimum of five years’ experience in network engineering roles. - Ability to articulate technical designs and principles to a non-technical audience. - Strong communication skills - both written and oral, customer-focused, and a flexible team player who is adaptable, a problem solver, and capable of working systematically with minimal supervision. - Detailed understanding of networking protocols and standards. - Must be able to travel to different locations across both Forces and complete all assignments in a timely manner. This role will include potential attendance at various force locations in both Thames Valley Police (TVP) and Hampshire Integration Operation Command (HIoWC). - Hands-on engineering experience with the ability to manage ticketing, prioritization, change management, project delivery, and collaboration with large-scale service providers. - A current or recently expired CCNA/CCNP (or higher) qualification is strongly preferred but not essential. - Experience with SD-WAN migrations is preferred but not essential. - Hands-on experience with Fortinet products is preferred but not essential. - A full UK driving license is essential due to the need for travel across various locations. - Must be able to pass vetting, which requires continuous residence in the UK for at least the last five years at the time of vetting.
