Requirements
Must:
- I have experience working in an IT Governance or Project Management Office role, applying portfolio management skills in a professional environment.
- I am familiar with structured project environments, and I have exposure to project, capacity, resource, risk, issue, and financial management processes.
- I possess strong analytical skills and proficiency in Power BI, Excel, or similar tools, with a particular strength in Power BI and dashboard creation.
- I can produce clear, engaging reports and presentation materials for quarterly reviews.
- I have effective influencing, negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- I demonstrate strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a logical, analytical mindset and attention to detail.
- I am familiar with project management methodologies such as PRINCE2, Agile, and MSP.
- Additional qualifications I may have include APM, PMI, or PRINCE2 certification and experience with project portfolio management tools like Planview, Clarity, or MS Project Online.
Responsibilities
- I will support the maintenance of the IT portfolio, including prioritised, funded, and governed projects, and IT services such as licenses and support costs.
- I will develop and maintain demand capture templates to categorise, quantify, and prioritise incoming requests.
- I will maintain records of incoming demand and ensure quality through completeness checks.
- I will support the collection and maintenance of Opex and Capex demand associated with projects and services.
- I will coordinate monthly updates of project tracking data, ensuring accuracy and completeness and liaising with project managers to maintain reliable data.
- I will take input from project managers regarding value and timing of run costs.
- I will collaborate with the IT Service Continuity Manager to ensure visibility of project delivery and timely engagement.
- I will lead the creation of high-quality content and reporting materials, especially quarterly reports and portfolio visibility.
- I will organise and coordinate key governance forums and steering committees, including preparing content and documentation.
- I will coordinate approvals and signatures for relevant documentation.
- I will support departmental communications, events, and action planning.
- I will contribute to resource and capacity management planning.
- I will support the implementation of IT strategy and objectives related to IT commercials and the Office of the CIO.
Description
This is a full-time, fixed-term role running until March 2026, located in Crewe with hybrid working arrangements. I am offering a PAYE contract via Adecco with a fixed hourly rate of £27 (non-negotiable) and full-time hours of 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
