Requirements
Must:
- Extensive enterprise networking experience with relevant certifications (e.g., CCNP, Fortinet NSE, Palo Alto certifications)
- Strong hands-on experience with firewalls including Fortinet, Palo Alto, Checkpoint, and Cisco Firepower
- Solid knowledge of SD-WAN technologies and familiarity with SASE frameworks, including Fortinet SASE and other leading solutions
- Expertise across key networking areas:
- LAN/WAN
- MPLS
- VPN
- VLAN configuration
- Network segmentation
- QoS
- Advanced routing and switching
- Knowledge of network security principles, load balancing, and cloud networking integration
- Good working knowledge of ITIL processes
- Eligible to obtain Security Check (SC) clearance
Responsibilities
- Lead the diagnosis and resolution of complex Level 3 network incidents
- Own and implement network changes and service requests across diverse technical landscapes
- Provide deep technical expertise on advanced network issues, ensuring stability and security
- Build expertise through access to training, certifications, and hands-on exposure to next-generation networking solutions
Description
We have an exciting opportunity for experienced Network Operations Engineers to join our high-performing Network Operations Centre (NOC) in Manchester. Supporting a broad portfolio of private and public-sector clients, you will work across complex, multi-technology environments to deliver stable, secure, and high-performing network solutions throughout their full lifecycle. We offer a competitive salary of £35,000 - £37,000 per annum, along with permanent benefits and an on-call allowance. To succeed in this role, you will be eligible for Security Check (SC) clearance.
