DevOps Engineer

- I require solid demonstrated success in a related IT profession, including substantial experience in DevOps. - One or more of the following AWS specific Certifications is a plus: - AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate - AWS Certified SysOps Administrator Associate - AWS Certified DevOps Engineer Professional - AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional - I look for technical knowledge and experience across various IT areas, including infrastructure, automation development, and operations. - I need proficiency in troubleshooting and configuring core AWS Platforms such as ECS Fargate, Lambda, S3, Route 53, and RDS. - You should be able to administer software-defined networking in AWS, managing NACLs and AWS Security Groups effectively. - The ability to automate processes/code in Python or another modern scripting language is essential. - I expect knowledge of Linux core fundamentals and command-line operations. - Experience with configuration management and automation/deployment solutions tools such as Ansible, Puppet, Chef, GitLab, Terraform, SaltStack, Octopus, Jenkins, Git, and Nagios is highly desirable. - A good understanding of Docker containerization is necessary. - I also look for working knowledge of Web APIs, RESTful Services, and WCF Services. - Familiarity with central authentication platforms such as Active Directory, LDAP, and Kerberos/IDM is beneficial. - Advanced troubleshooting of IP routing, VPN access methods, and DNS is required. - Windows Server knowledge would be an added advantage. - Excellent communication skills are important, as you will need to convey and document network-related dependencies.
