Requirements
Must:
We are looking for a Software Engineer with proven experience in Python backend development, particularly with frameworks like FastAPI. I need someone with strong cloud-native development skills, ideally with Google Cloud. You should be familiar with DevOps practices and automated testing (e.g., pytest), as well as agile methodologies. A passion for healthcare innovation and continuous learning is essential. Additionally, a background in biological sciences or the pharmaceutical industry is a bonus.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will be responsible for developing robust backend systems for Python-based web applications. You will integrate AI/ML components with our data, infrastructure, and frontend systems. Your work will include delivering high-quality, well-documented, and thoroughly tested code, as well as monitoring and enhancing the performance of our tools and services. Collaboration across technical teams to build end-to-end data pipelines will also be a key part of your responsibilities.
Description
This position is a 6-month contract, inside IR35, and offers hybrid working arrangements with 3 days onsite. Preferred skills include experience with Docker and multi-container architectures, exposure to scientific datasets (e.g., genomics, proteomics), and familiarity with AI/ML deployment, especially NLP tools (LangGraph, AutoGen). An understanding of AI/ML evaluation and iterative improvement, as well as some experience with frontend development (e.g., React), would also be advantageous.
