Configuration Engineer Lead

- Support project managers in the planning and execution of PDI (Pre Delivery Inspections) projects - Assist with scheduling, logistics, and onsite coordination for print device deployments - Compile and maintain detailed build documents for device configuration and installations - Ensure timely delivery, setup, and testing of devices according to project plans - Prepare and submit customer quotes for BAU print work, including new devices, consumables, and services - Coordinate printer swaps, including organizing return of old devices and delivery of replacements (if required) - Liaise with customers to schedule service work, installations, and returns with minimal disruption - Maintain records of BAU activities, ensuring updates to asset and warehouse systems - Build, configure, and test printers and multifunction devices in accordance with client requirements - Install appropriate drivers, firmware, and ensure network readiness prior to deployment - Work with internal teams to ensure consistency and quality in all device builds - Provide support to the Configuration department with other projects and BAU activities wherever possible and required (including laptops and other types of devices) - Compile and support updating build and configuration documentation for all MPS devices - Support the creation and maintenance of SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) for MPS/PDI tasks - Provide feedback on process improvements to increase efficiency and customer satisfaction - Ensure stock is appropriately handled in line with company policies and procedures
