Requirements
Must:
- Strong experience using Power BI, including importing data and advanced data transformations
- Proficiency in writing DAX formulas
- Experience in building reports with interactive visuals and drill-through functionality
- Familiarity with MS Fabric, database imports, Power BI Dataflows, SQL, R, or Python is desirable
- Ability to rapidly develop new technical skills
- Knowledge of datasets relevant to the Scottish social housing sector is advantageous
- Minimum requirement of one reference from current or most recent employer
Responsibilities
- Support the migration of SAP Business Objects reports to a Power BI-based reporting approach
- Collaborate with Information Analysts, managers, and team leaders to understand and define reporting requirements
- Extract data from the housing management system (NEC)
- Design and deliver user-friendly, interactive Power BI dashboards
- Enable staff to access performance and monitoring information on a self-service basis
- Participate in occasional in-person meetings, primarily in Aberdeen City or Inverurie

We are the Housing Information Team supporting Aberdeenshire Council Housing Service. We are looking for an Information Analyst on a fixed-term basis to aid in a key improvement project. This role provides an excellent opportunity for those interested in data analysis within the public sector.
