Requirements
Must:
- Relevant qualifications in Early Years Education or Childcare
- Experience working with children in an educational setting
- Commitment to child protection and safeguarding regulations
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Registration with the SSSC within 3 months of employment
- Ability to provide a minimum of 2 references, including one from current or most recent employer
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the care and education of children within the Early Level curriculum
- Engage fully in the work of the Early Learning and Childcare team
- Implement the pre-Birth to Three Framework where appropriate
- Demonstrate a commitment to quality and continuous improvement in service delivery
- Ensure compliance with regulations and safeguarding policies regarding children
- Be adaptable to work at different locations within the Peterhead CSN as required
Description
We are seeking an Early Years Practitioner to join our Early Learning and Childcare team, primarily based at St Fergus Nursery within the Childrens Service Network. This is a 12-month fixed term position with a commitment to high-quality service delivery. Successful candidates will be employed under Local Government terms and conditions, and this role involves regulated work with children, requiring adherence to the Protection of Vulnerable Groups Act.
