Requirements
Must:
- Experience and a record of success in improving technology and delivering secure, robust, modern architecture.
- Strong record of infrastructure project/operational lifecycle management experience.
- HND/Degree in technical discipline or equivalent work experience.
- Completion of formal training in the administration of voice and data networks, server operating systems, Azure, data platforms, O365, and Active Directory.
- A degree and/or relevant professional experience in Business or Computer Science.
- Strong communicator who can engage with stakeholders internally and externally.
- Ability to demonstrate a positive approach to learning and development.
- Analytical, prioritization, and negotiating skills.
- Comfortable working in a technical environment and addressing technical problems.
- Strong presentation skills, both written and verbal, effectively communicating with different audiences.
- Administration experience in at least three of the following areas: telecommunication technologies, managed wireless technologies, switched network environments, Microsoft Windows Desktop OS, Active Directory Services, Azure cloud and O365 platforms, Windows Server, Solaris, corporate email systems, gateway security systems, endpoint management systems, enterprise storage and backup solutions.
- Ability to quickly grasp new topics and manipulate information using MS Excel or Power BI.
Responsibilities
- Plan, design, implement, maintain, and administer the Authoritys core ICT infrastructure including cloud capability, voice and data networks, servers, and related systems.
- Ensure that technical delivery outcomes are aligned with cyber security standards and initiatives.
- Contribute to the delivery of digital capability and infrastructure solutions.
- Future-proof design and development through continuous improvement of infrastructure.
- Support the councils capability to conduct business and ensure seamless operation of day-to-day IT activities.
- Maintain the availability of customer-facing technologies and business functions.
