Requirements
Must:
We require candidates to have a full driving licence and access to their own transport. You should possess an NVQ in ICT or an equivalent qualification, along with evidence of ongoing professional development. Certifications such as MCP, MCSA, MCSE, or CompTIA A are preferred. Additionally, you should hold an ITIL v3 Foundation or an equivalent credential. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential, along with the ability to maintain confidentiality and data security. We seek an individual who is highly organized, can work well under pressure, and has strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Experience in supporting a diverse customer base in an ICT support context, coupled with the ability to install, maintain, and troubleshoot computer hardware and software, is necessary. A solid understanding of network infrastructure, wireless networks, and experience with cloud-based services like Microsoft 365 are required.
Responsibilities
As our ICT Technician / IT Support Engineer, you will be responsible for the maintenance and management of the ICT infrastructure, providing 2nd line technical support, and ensuring smooth operation within established service level agreements (SLAs). You will work closely with colleagues to address network security, data protection, and contingency planning. You will also contribute to strategic planning and development efforts, including capacity planning and budget estimation, and you will help design and implement new infrastructure projects. Providing exceptional end-user support and training, along with developing documentation to assist users, will be central to your role. You will ensure compliance with our trust's core values and best practices, maintaining safety and security standards while monitoring the effectiveness of ICT filtering and reporting any breaches of acceptable use policies.
Description
We are offering a fantastic opportunity for a full-time, permanent position in Coventry, West Midlands, with a salary range of £25,429 - £28,912 per annum. You will work 37 hours a week, Monday to Thursday from 08:00 am to 04:00 pm, and Friday from 08:00 am to 03:30 pm.
