Requirements
Must:
- A relevant qualification i.e. Electrical/Controls Apprenticeship/HNC or Degree
- Significant experience working with PLCs to modification/design level
- Ability to log in remotely via VPN and navigate through diagnostic pages
- Strong communication skills to gather necessary information from clients
- Experience with Siemens TIA Portal is desirable but not mandatory
- Solid client-facing and communication skills
- Self-reliant, self-motivated, and able to work under pressure
Responsibilities
- Responding to logged tickets for minor faults
- Logging onto customer PLCs remotely for fault finding/troubleshooting and code modifications
- Booking in faults for visits later in the week
- Attending handover meetings with Project Managers
- Being available for client calls/emails due to PLC-related faults while on-call/from home
- Providing support remotely, onsite, via email, and phone calls to resolve issues
- Being prepared to work on an on-call rota 24/7 for two weeks a month, potentially at short notice and during unsociable hours
