We are looking for a VMware Engineer or Infrastructure Engineer with proven experience in an enterprise-scale environment. You should possess in-depth expertise with VMware vSphere 7.x and VMware Site Recovery Manager (SRM), alongside a strong understanding of Dell Blade and Rackmount server hardware. You need to be skilled in Microsoft Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, and DHCP administration, and have experience managing Microsoft Certificate Services (PKI infrastructure). Hands-on experience with Microsoft Exchange Server (on-premises) and Exchange Online / Office 365 hybrid environments is necessary. We also expect you to have a strong working knowledge of O365 administration, including MFA, Teams, and Intune deployments, as well as experience with Windows Server 2012 R2, 2016, and 2022 platforms. A solid understanding of Systems Centre Operations Manager (SCOM) will be required, particularly in creating performance baselines and thresholds. Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and documentation skills are essential for this position.
Responsibilities
As a VMware Engineer, your key responsibilities will include deploying, configuring, and maintaining VMware vSphere 7.x environments, which encompass vCenter, ESXi hosts, clusters, storage, and networking. You will implement and manage VMware Site Recovery Manager (SRM) for disaster recovery and failover testing. You will also install and configure Dell Blade and Rackmount server hardware, including performing firmware updates, BIOS configurations, and managing hardware lifecycles. Your role will involve rolling out, maintaining, and troubleshooting Microsoft Active Directory, as well as deploying and managing Microsoft Certificate Services (PKI infrastructure) and Microsoft Exchange Server in a hybrid configuration. Additionally, you will roll out and administer Microsoft 365 services, deploy and configure Windows Server platforms, implement and maintain Systems Centre Operations Manager (SCOM), participate in infrastructure rollout projects, and collaborate with networking, security, and application teams to deliver integrated infrastructure solutions. Maintaining accurate system documentation, build procedures, and standard operating guides will also be part of your responsibilities.
Description
We are specifically looking for candidates with desirable qualifications such as VMware Certified Professional (VCP) certification, Microsoft Certified: Windows Server / Azure Administrator, and experience with PowerShell or other automation/scripting tools. Familiarity with backup and replication technologies (e.g., Veeam, Dell Data Domain) and knowledge of ITIL best practices will be advantageous.
