I am looking for candidates with strong experience in user research, service design, or human-centered design. You should have a strong portfolio of research work that demonstrates strategic impact, storytelling, and end-to-end capability. A deep expertise in user-centered design principles and research methodologies is essential, along with experience working within agile teams. I expect you to be skilled in planning, conducting, and analyzing research independently and to communicate findings clearly to influence decision-making at all levels. You should also be comfortable facilitating workshops and engaging with senior stakeholders. Familiarity with accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG) and inclusive research practices is required, as well as an understanding and experience of Government Digital Services (GDS).
Responsibilities
As a User Researcher, you will be involved in various aspects of the research process, ensuring your findings inform service design and enhance user experience. You will independently plan and conduct user research and collaborate with agile teams to integrate insights into the design process. Your role will require you to communicate findings effectively to stakeholders at all levels and facilitate workshops related to user research outcomes.
Description
This is a 6-month hybrid position based in London, requiring attendance in the office for 2 days per week. The role is Inside IR35 with a daily rate of £590. Due to the nature of the client, candidates must be eligible for SC Clearance and have at least 5 years' residence in the UK. While experience in digital service delivery and an integration with design systems is desirable, it is not mandatory. A degree in User Research, Psychology, HCI, Anthropology, or a related discipline is also preferred.
