Requirements
Must:
- Current SC Clearance (NPPV3 is a bonus)
- Strong relevant experience as a Senior SDET
- Experience and knowledge of API testing and the use of Postman
- Proficiency in Java coding (OOP, SOLID)
- Strong coding skills including DI, Design Patterns, etc.
- Experience working in Agile delivery teams using TDD with Java
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and their importance in the automation testing process
- Experience with testing tools such as Cypress, Junit, SonarQube, Jenkins, Splunk, Gatling, Serenity, Cucumber, Selenium, Wiremock, Hamcrest, AWS Cloudwatch
- Familiarity with GitLab for storage of developed test automation
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work autonomously
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the product team to define acceptance criteria and testing DOD for each story
- Pair with developers to define and review required tests addressing all features and functions of product delivery at unit and component layers
- Perform exploratory testing at all levels
- Work with the Product team to define tests throughout the product delivery process
- Automate tests for all phases and design test stubs collaboratively with developers
- Ensure that tests validating NFRs are defined at appropriate levels and maintain traceability throughout the product delivery
- Communicate test progress and quality metrics clearly to stakeholders
- Promote quality throughout the product lifecycle
- Contribute to the design and build of automated tests within an Agile team, ensuring effective test coverage
- Provide test assurance based on defined acceptance test criteria while working in a test-first environment
- Engage in estimation activities and identify opportunities to maximize test benefits within the team
- Offer assurance during team retrospectives and planning sessions to uphold test best practices and standards
Description
We are seeking a Senior SDET to join our fast-paced team on a 7-month initial contract, offering a competitive rate of £612.50 per day (Inside IR35). This role is primarily remote with infrequent travel to our site in London. The ideal candidate will raise the profile of quality throughout the product lifecycle, work closely with Software Engineers, and contribute to effective Agile delivery. Experience with PACT frameworks enabling Consumer Driven Contract testing and knowledge in advanced DevOps and Agile Development practices are desirable. We value the ability to lead projects and design test strategies as well.
