Requirements
Must:
- Strong background in Splunk, Identity and Access Management (IAM), and Security Orchestration Automation and Response (SOAR)
- Demonstrable proficiency across a wide range of IT and cybersecurity technologies
- High-level analytical ability to solve complex problems
- Experience in senior stakeholder management with clear communication skills
- Eligibility to work in the UK
- Experience with cybersecurity domains including Incident Management
- Hands-on experience with Splunk Enterprise Security
- Strong technical experience in Python and PowerShell scripting
- Experience in technology projects such as cyber infrastructure implementations (desirable)
- Understanding of global program structures and the ability to mentor team members (desirable)
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and enhance detection capabilities within Splunk across Linux and Windows environments
- Develop and maintain detection content such as correlation searches and risk-based alerting
- Write and optimize complex queries for threat detection and anomaly identification
- Map detection logic to adversary behaviors using the MITRE ATT&CK Framework
- Collaborate with the wider Splunk ecosystem, contributing to automation and orchestration initiatives
- Leverage scripting languages to automate detection logic and enrich data
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineers on backend activities
- Collaborate closely with SOC analysts and incident responders to improve detection and response capabilities
- Translate threat intelligence into actionable detection use cases
