Requirements
Must:
- Finance background with demonstrated spending experience
- Experienced Power BI Modeller
- Proficient in Microsoft Power Platform products, including Power BI, PowerApps, and Power Automate
- Strong knowledge of key principles of modelling and analysis
- Detail-oriented with a strong ability to understand and interpret complex information and identify errors/inconsistencies
- Extensive experience in resolving accounting system or process issues and proficient in interpreting and reporting complex financial information
Responsibilities
- Design and implement a streamlined, future-proof financial model using Power BI
- Support the Operations team by providing modelling and system analysis to drive an integrated cycle
- Ensure logical and timely models that accurately represent projections and assessments of key financial, economic, and contract data
- Model and deliver rapid ad hoc financial projections, including scenario options and "what if" analyses
- Contribute to business case development and provide expertise in financial modelling
- Offer expert judgement in interpreting and including information and principles in models, articulating results effectively
- Assist in developing and implementing new and existing modelling systems
- Produce ad hoc insight and analysis on behalf of the organization as required
- Deputise for the manager as appropriate
- Conduct regular stakeholder and customer meetings to identify gaps in existing modelling
- Review, maintain, and improve the current modelling offering to meet best practice standards
- Provide tools for real-time data modelling for Operations contracts to enable accurate data-driven decisions
- Produce developer documentation for Power Platform solutions for handover to the BSF Reporting Team
Description
We are seeking a Data Modeller to join our fast-paced team on an initial 12-month contract within the public transport industry. This hybrid role requires 50% on-site presence in Southwark and Stratford, London, offering a competitive rate of £340 per day (Inside IR35).
