Requirements
Must:
- Deep understanding of, and experience with, UEFI BIOS
- Good understanding of BIOS variants including IBV offerings, EDK2 and Coreboot
- Experience with BIOS tuning and customization
- In-depth system level understanding of embedded and non-embedded systems
- In-depth understanding of embedded processing systems, operating systems, embedded system debuggers and applications
- Technical expertise in Application CPUs, real-time CPUs and microcontrollers in x86 architecture
- Experience with Linux, U-boot and bootloaders
- Hands-on experience with AMD x86 Embedded tools, devices, boards and software
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proven ability to write application notes, white papers, and customer presentations
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment as part of a collaborative team
- Fully self-sufficient in software development concepts and methods, coding, and debugging
- Strong interpersonal skills to work with engineering, marketing, customers, FAEs and sales
Responsibilities
- Help define and create customer demos or example designs
- Support customers with BIOS issues and configuration on x86 based processing systems
- Run industry standard benchmarks and present results to the field and customers
- Develop and run tests to measure system level bandwidth and latency using performance tools
- Develop and test systems with Linux and/or RTOS
- Resolve customer issues on protocols like I2C, UART, USB, Ethernet, PCIE, etc.
- Document best practices for customer support
- Develop training and marketing material for the Sales team
- Drive customer needs back through engineering for effective solutions
