Requirements
Must:
- Experience working as a Senior Tester, including delegating work to other testers and being a first point of contact for help or assistance.
- Full understanding of the testing lifecycle and methodologies.
- Ability to create and design automated test scripts using BDD methodology.
- Experience maintaining and enhancing existing automation frameworks.
- Capability to carry out exploratory testing within an Agile development environment.
- Development of test tools, extension of test frameworks, and test environments.
- Proven experience testing APIs using integration tools.
- Knowledge of testing tools such as Cypress, Gherkin, Page Object Model, PactumJS, and TypeScript.
- Technical understanding of processes under test and relevant related processes alongside the ability to test components.
- Understanding of test automation concepts and their applications.
- Experience in CI/CD using tools such as Jenkins, Git, and AWS CodePipeline.
- Meticulous attention to detail and excellent communication skills, particularly in communicating effectively with both technical roles (e.g., developers) and users.
Responsibilities
- Coach and develop testers, review their work through peer review, and assist in delegating tasks and setting objectives.
- Conduct testing across a variety of processes and systems, including UI, API, back office (workflow) processes, as well as 3rd party systems and integrations, with a focus on end-to-end testing.
- Understand and interpret business, functional, and technical requirements.
- Familiarize yourself with AJ Bell products and processes, and relevant Financial Services legislation.
- Contribute to how solutions are developed and delivered, using your knowledge and expertise to deliver the best possible outcomes for the customer.
- Execute test scripts and record results using software testing tools (JIRA/XRAY).
- Raise bugs in a timely manner, providing sufficient detail for fixes and reproduction.
- Collaborate with Technical Leads and other Testers from project inception to create and implement a suitable test automation approach to complement manual testing.
- Engage in exciting new research projects and proofs of concept.
- Support User Acceptance Testing and facilitate production release.
