Requirements

Must:
- Hands-on experience designing, deploying, and managing Azure-only cloud environments across networking, compute, storage, identity, and PaaS services. - Strong knowledge of Azure networking, including Azure Firewall, WAF, VNets, NSGs, Gateways, Routing, and Private Endpoints. - Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code, with Terraform as the primary tool and Bicep as an Azure-native IaC language. - Ability to write and use KQL for dashboards, alerts, investigations, and insights in Log Analytics, Azure Monitor, and Application Insights. - Experience administering and optimizing Windows Server workloads on Azure Virtual Machines, including patching, configuration, and performance tuning. - Practical experience supporting and tuning Azure Virtual Desktop environments. - Experience migrating SQL Server workloads to Azure SQL Managed Instance and supporting Azure SQL operational tasks. - Experience modernizing applications using Azure App Services or container-based platforms. - Proficiency working with Azure DevOps pipelines, automated deployments, and integration with IaC workflows. - Understanding of Azure governance and security controls, including Azure Policy, RBAC, Defender for Cloud, and Sentinel analytics. - Ability to produce clear and maintainable technical documentation, runbooks, and architecture diagrams.

Responsibilities

- Design, implement, optimize, and support our Azure cloud infrastructure, ensuring it remains secure, reliable, scalable, and cost-effective. - Lead the expansion of our cloud estate and modernize legacy VM-based workloads. - Strengthen monitoring and automation practices across the organization. - Manage core Azure networking components and firewalls. - Optimize Azure Virtual Machines, including configuration, patching, security hardening, and performance tuning. - Recommend appropriate platform choices for cloud projects and support modernization initiatives that reduce technical debt and uplift cloud maturity. - Collaborate with internal teams to support key infrastructure projects as the company grows.
