Must:
We are looking for someone who has proven experience in Unix/Linux administration within enterprise environments. Strong knowledge of Solaris 10 and 11 is essential, with experience in Solaris 8 and 9 being a bonus. You should possess scripting skills in Bash, Python, or other relevant languages. A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement is a must, along with the ability to work independently in a highly regulated and secure environment. Please note, this role requires sole UK nationals only, and you must be eligible for SC clearance (existing SC or DV clearance is highly advantageous).
Responsibilities
As a Systems Administrator, you will support and administer Unix/Linux environments, with a strong focus on Solaris 10 and 11. Your tasks will include managing system performance, patching, upgrades, and troubleshooting. You will also develop and maintain automation scripts to improve efficiency and streamline operations. Additionally, you will support project delivery teams with technical expertise and system configuration, ensuring systems remain secure, stable, and compliant with security standards.

This position is site-based in Bristol, requiring you to work five days a week on critical defense and engineering programs.
