Requirements
Must:
- Graduate level in Computer Science, Information Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or other STEM degrees such as Science, Engineering, or Maths
- Passion for support and solving problems
- Basic understanding of Linux based Operating Systems (e.g., Redhat, Kali, Suse, Ubuntu, Centos)
- Willingness to learn and be trained in a production environment
- Experience can be at hobby, personal, or educational level
Responsibilities
- Provide support to Linux based systems within a production environment
- Identify and resolve problems effectively
- Manage support tickets and conduct basic maintenance
- Support customers and escalate issues when necessary
- Gradually transition to a 24/7 support role after training
Description
We are an expanding business located in Kettering, looking for a Graduate Linux Systems Support Engineer. This role initially requires office attendance during training hours of 9-5pm, with opportunities for hybrid working after 12 months. We offer a competitive starting salary of £26,265, which rises to £39,140 post-training, along with flexible benefits, a 5% pension, 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays, and a company bonus.
