Requirements
Must:
- I am looking for candidates who have achieved, or are on a clear path to achieving, UK Cyber Security Council Chartered status.
- You should have significant experience in cyber security consulting or assurance, ideally within the public sector.
- A deep knowledge of governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) frameworks and standards, such as CAF, ISO/IEC 27001, and PCI DSS, is essential.
- Strong client-facing skills are required, along with the ability to communicate complex issues clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- A proven track record of delivering high-quality outputs on time and influencing decision-making is necessary.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to produce polished consultancy reports, are important.
- Desirable certifications include ISO 27001 Lead Auditor/Implementer, CISSP, CISM, CRISC, and CCP (GRC) or equivalent.
- A driving license and willingness to travel to client sites across the UK as required are needed.
Responsibilities
- I will expect you to lead and deliver client engagements across governance, risk, and compliance (GRC), including audits, assessments, and improvement plans aligned to frameworks such as ISO/IEC 27001, NCSC CAF, and PCI DSS.
- You will lead independent assurance efforts, review, and test security policies, procedures, and controls; identify gaps; and recommend pragmatic remediation strategies.
- Developing and presenting security strategies that enhance resilience and reduce risk, tailored to client environments, will be part of your responsibilities.
- You will engage stakeholders, facilitate workshops, brief senior leaders, and build trusted relationships across client and supplier teams.
- Producing high-quality deliverables, audit reports, risk assessments, control mappings, and remediation roadmaps will be critical to your role.
- Staying ahead of the curve by monitoring emerging threats, regulations, and standards, and translating these into actionable guidance will be essential.
- Supporting incident response activities, providing expertise during investigations and post-incident reviews is also a key aspect of the position.
- Additionally, you will mentor and develop colleagues, sharing knowledge and contributing to the growth of our cyber practice.
Description
At 4C Strategies, I offer the opportunity to be a part of a respected consultancy with strong public sector credentials, working with a growing cyber team. We promote hybrid working, allowing you to work from home with weekly office collaboration on Thursdays and client site visits as needed. I provide support for professional development and continuing professional development (CPD), including maintaining Chartered status and relevant certifications. You will experience varied engagements across multiple domains, including incident response. In terms of the package, I offer a salary between £50,000 and £70,000, subject to experience, along with 3% pension contributions, 25 days of holiday plus bank holidays, and the option to purchase an additional 5 days of holiday. You will work from home, with the expectation of 1 day in the office per week and work on UK client sites as required.
