Requirements
Must:
- I require 2–3 years of experience in a Senior ICT Technician or 2nd/3rd line support role (experience in the education sector is desirable but not essential).
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, and Microsoft operating systems is necessary.
- Familiarity with virtualization technologies, particularly Hyper-V, is essential.
- Experience with cloud technologies such as Office 365 and Azure is required.
- Proven ability to lead installations of servers and networks is expected.
- I seek individuals with excellent troubleshooting and decision-making skills during IT emergencies.
- Outstanding customer service and communication abilities (both verbal and written) are crucial.
- Flexibility, adaptability, and the ability to work independently while managing time effectively are important.
Responsibilities
- In this role, I will handle 2nd/3rd line issues, respond to ICT emergencies, and manage escalations effectively.
- I will resolve technical problems affecting school operations by delivering effective solutions.
- I will provide internal network support and maintain the school IT infrastructure.
- I will lead installations or upgrades of servers, networks, and associated hardware/software.
- I will mentor and support 1st/2nd line technicians as required.
- I will deliver staff training and enforce ICT policies within schools.
- I will install, repair, and configure a wide range of devices, including desktop computers, iPads, printers, telephones, projectors, and AV equipment.
