Must:
We are looking for an experienced Infrastructure Engineer with at least 5 years of experience in IT support or service desk, preferably in an MSP environment. The ideal candidate will have strong skills in Windows Server, Hyper-V, and networking, along with experience in Azure, Entra, and M365 administration. A good understanding of security best practices is essential, and familiarity with PowerShell scripting and SAN/NAS knowledge is highly valued. Excellent communication skills and a full UK driving license are also required.
Responsibilities
In this role, I will expect you to design, deploy, and support on-premises, cloud, and hybrid infrastructures. You will manage servers, networking, storage, and virtualization (Hyper-V). Supporting Azure, M365, and private datacentre environments will be a key part of your responsibilities. You will oversee backup and disaster recovery solutions using tools like Datto and Veeam. Additionally, you will lead upgrades, migrations, and other infrastructure projects, serving as a Tier 3 escalation point for complex issues. Maintaining documentation and contributing to security compliance is also crucial, and participation in an on-call rota will be required once you are established in the role.
