Requirements
Must:
- I have experience in a similar ICT Technician or 1st/2nd Line Engineer role, ideally within an education Managed Service Provider (MSP) or directly in a school environment.
- I possess strong knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 and Windows operating systems.
- I have a good understanding of common user applications and networked systems.
- I am confident in troubleshooting skills and can work independently under pressure.
- I demonstrate excellent communication and organization skills, with a customer-first approach.
Responsibilities
- I will act as the main onsite contact for IT, providing responsive 1st/2nd line support to staff and students.
- I will troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across desktops, laptops, tablets, printers, projectors, AV equipment, and more.
- I will install, configure, and upgrade hardware and software across the school network.
- I will support and maintain core systems, focusing on Microsoft Office 365 and commonly used education applications.
- I will work proactively with stakeholders to identify improvements in ICT provision.
- I will communicate technical solutions clearly and effectively to non-technical users.
Description
I am looking for a skilled and customer-focused Onsite Engineer to join an education trust in Milton Keynes. This role suits someone with experience supporting IT in a school environment or through an educational MSP, who enjoys taking ownership of technical issues and delivering reliable solutions. As the onsite IT lead, I will be responsible for keeping day-to-day systems running smoothly while also helping the school to maximize its ICT. My work will directly contribute to creating an effective learning environment.
